The competition included three event: the hammer, stone put and the caber toss.

“The highlight of the competition was undoubtedly Adam Darazs, the pride of Hungary, setting a new national record in the 28-lb Hungarian hammer with a distance of 73' 5",” Brebner said,

“I have put in the hard work and time training and it all come together on the day.  This is a really good result to start off the early season of throwing for me.  I am very happy indeed as this event is very much respected in my country,” Darasz told Breber.

“The federation leaders are also happy to see so many new athletes competing in the sport, and in the next few years, I foresee Highland Games events expanding throughout Hungary,” Darazs said.

Here are the top three, overall:

1. Adam Darazs 16
2. Robert Meszaros 14
3. Tamas Saliga 10
