Marcel Mostert just returned from Jiangsu, China where Ervin Katona, J-F Caron and strongwoman Kathleen Krausse from Germany established some new Guinness records as part of the Chinese New Year shows, in what Mostert called a spectacular presentation.
SCL kicked off 2015 with new Guinness world records by J-F Caron (far left) and Ervin Katona (far right). Marcel Mostert (third from left) told IronMind, “This show is well known in China as one of the biggest Guinness shows in the world. We are looking forward to doing more records this year.” IronMind® | Photo courtesy of SCL
“The opening was done with 75 horses from the Heilan Equestrian Club, within Ervin and J-F Caron as gladiators in the middle. It was very spectacular,” Mostert said. “Kathleen Krausse broke an existing Guinness record, by rolling up 8 frying pans in just 1 minute.
“Ervin Katona got a record for doing 11 total flips with a car. However, he had the record for only 20 minutes, because J-F Caron broke this with doing 13 flips with a car for a new Guinness world record.
"The first MHP Strongman Champions League competition of 2015 will be coming 31 January in Norway, also known as the 'World Strongest Viking,' so stay tuned for more on this tomorrow.
