Pyrros Dimas...

Greek superstar Pyrros Dimas will not be competing in the European Weightlifting Championships next week.

Dimas, who is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, had shoulder surgery one month ago and has not yet resumed heavy training. The popular Dimas, whose battles with Germany's Marc Huster have been among the most celebrated in weightlifting in recent years, said that he is focusing on being fully prepared for the World Championships, to be held in Athens later this year.
