Muscle & Fitness Features Mike Burke on Grip Training

Shown working on 282-lb. on IronMind’s Rolling Thunder, Mike Burke is one bad boy when it comes to grip strength. Read about Mike and his grip training advice in the June issue of Muscle & Fitness. IronMind® | ©Randall J. Strossen photo

Mike Burke cuts to the chase and for sure does not suffer from GOPD: His advice for getting stronger is, “Lift as much heavy shit as you can until you can’t lift any more.”

Got love it and the World’s Strongest Man competitor has proven his world class grip strength on such benchmarks as the Rolling Thunder and the Apollon’s Axle. Burke toys with the Inch Dumbbell and the day he certified on the Captains of Crush No. 3.5 gripper, it was casual and done after he’d spanked the field in an Odd Haugen grip contest.
