Magnus Ver and Magnus Magnusson Tied

After the first day of competition, Magnus Ver Magnusson and Magnus Magnusson are tied in the Viking of the West strongman contest.

Magnus Magnusson, who is coming off a win in Iceland's Strongest Man, reportedly laughed when he passed four-time World's Strongest Man winner Magnus Ver Magnusson in the farmer's walk. Magnus Ver ended the day with first place finishes in the stone lift and in the arm over arm pull, with Magnus Magnusson right on his heels.

Both men have their eye on a slot at this year's World's Strongest Man show.
