”I just signed a good sponsorship deal with Trump Technology Ltd which will allow me to train full time so I’m looking at really pushing Zydrunas and Brian at WSM this year,” Laurence Shahlaei told IronMind today, so it sounds as if the man who has been quietly taking care of business at top strongman contests is poised to roar as never before.

“Securing this sponsorship will mean that the pressure of competition is lessened and I can peak for key competitions and dedicate more of my time to training,” Shahlaei explained.  “It is good news and will allow me to focus even more on my training and performance.  Hopefully that will show in my results this year!

“The company, Trump Technologies, are manufacturers of disabled access doors and equipment and can supply large or small contracts throughout the sector - in hospitals and surgeries for example.  One of their products is named ‘The Strong One’ and I am directly linked to this product and responsible for endorsing it.

“A number of the directors were heavily involved in bodybuilding and MMA so have a knowledge of the industry which is a big help.

“I will be promoting the company through wearing of branded clothing when possible, public appearances for them, and mentions in press coverage I generate.

“I just think it’s great that a company like this is interested in the strength sports, so fingers crossed strongman is moving in the right direction. Also finally got on Twitter if people want to follow my events, training and appearances they can find me.”

Talking about finding Laurence Shahlaei, he added, “I will be taking part in the British Rolling Thunder contest next weekend at the bodypower expo,” so if you want to swing by, you can watch an exciting, fun grip strength contest, and say hi to a World’s Strongest Man competitor at the same time.
