Jared Fleming snatched 158 kg, and cleaned and jerked 193 kg at the Junior World Championships in Penang, Malaysia today to finish seventh in the 94-kg class, sending another signal that the USA Weightlifting is rebuilding its team with an eye to top international performances in the future.
As with his teammate Michael Nackoul, who placed seventh in the 85-kg class yesterday, Fleming’s performance means that he merits serious consideration as the US weightlifting program builds its team in preparation for the 2016 Olympics.
