Halil Mutlu: Astonishing in Athens

It was the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships in Athens, Greece and setting the stage for a red hot contest, Halil Mutlu (Turkey) lit the fuse in the first men’s class: 56 kg.

When everyone else was done snatching, Mutlu opened . . . he did the same thing in the clean and jerk and even though he only took five attempts, he broke four world records and beat his nearest competitor by 20 kg!
