Finland continues to produce some of the world’s top grip strength performances, and this weekend a contest organized by GripMonsters had “16 strong competitors,” said GripMonster founder and top grip strength competitor Juha Harju.
Juha Harju lays some serious pain on the CoC Silver Bullet: clamping down on the CoC Silver Bullet with a Captains of Crush (CoC) No. 3 gripper, Harju maintained his death grip for a full 50 seconds, proving that the former world record holder on the event is in the hunt to reclaim the record. Juha and Matti Harju were both said to be eying Kody Burn´s world record on the IronMind Little Big Horn World Record (106.13kg). The two brothers battled it out, with Matti winning the event with a huge 100.04 kilos. Juha was second, with an impressive 98.0 kg, and he also locked out 101.26 kg, but then dropped it.
Juha, a former world record holder on the Captains of Crush (CoC) Silver Bullet, was in top form on that event as well, and he produced a massive 50.00 second performance—the top time of the year and one that says Harju must be considered a favorite to reclaim this record, so stay tuned.
This was Juha Harju’s 6th Finnish Rolling Thunder national title.
