Gregor Edmunds Wins the Scottish Native Heavyweight Championships

“Scotland's finest throwers did battle in the first throws contest of the year, at the Scottish Native Heavyweight Championships from Roukenglen Park near Glasgow this afternoon, and Gregor Edmunds of Carmunnock took the title with 4 out of 5 wins,” contest organizer Colin Bryce reported to IronMind.
“The real surprise of the day came in the shape of 6-foot 5-inch, 20-year old Lorne Coulthard who won the hammer with a throw of 135-foot 7-inch on the way to second place overall. Big Lorne, as Douglas Edmunds said, "Is the future of the sport."
