Congratulations to Chris Child, who has just been certified on the IronMind® Red Nail™, a benchmark for short steel bends, and he’s the second Englishman to achieve this distinction.

The 36-year-old Chris Child stands 5’ 11”, weighs 205 lb. and he said, “I have lifted weights all my life and have always been fascinated with all things to do with strength and especially old time feats of strength.” Appropriately enough, Chris said that Joseph "The Mighty Atom" Greenstein is his favorite strongman.
“I was born and raised in England,” Chris said, “and first moved to the States when I was 23, I then moved back to the UK before moving back here again and settling here with my wife, Holly.”
IronMind® would like to thank Max Mormont of Balboa CrossFit/So. Cal Strength & Conditioning for serving as the referee for Chris’s official attempt. Chris said, “Max was a great witness making me feel very welcome at his gym.”
Congratulations, Chris, your name has been added to the Red Nail™ Roster!
