Brian Shaw Wins Viking Power Challenge

“He was almost perfect,” Svend Karlsen said of Brian Shaw, who won the 2010 Viking Power Challenge today—following a performance that reinforced Brian Shaw’s status as one of the top competitors on the professional strongman circuit.

“Brian only lost in the stones,” Svend Karlsen said, “where he tried to break Arild Haugen’s record and came in second.  He tied for first on the log.”  Brian Shaw won all the other events outright.

Rounding out the podium, Johannes Arsjo was second and Laurence Shahlaei was third.

“Other than Stefan Solvi Petursson and Stojan Todorchev getting injured, it was a perfect competition,” Karlsen said.  “It was a very good atmosphere.”
