“The United Strongmen® Women´s World Championships 2012 started today with heavy farmers walk—102 kg per hand and if that was not enough, the course was a 15 meter-track with major uphill and downhill after the turn,” Jyrki Rantanen told IronMind.

“Before the night, it seemed that the experience comes before the youth as Sweden´s Anna Rosen took the lead with huge results of 42.50 meters and was followed by USA´s Kristin Danielson Rhodes 37.50 m.
“But the youngsters are still fighting hard as Finland´s Annina Saine took the third spot with 36.55 m and Sweden´s Emilie Backlund follwwed with 29.20 m.
“I have to say that Anna´s result is just amazing and I can bet that not even all the males competing in Strongman Fitness© tomorrow can match Anna´s result (they are using the same weights, but they will do the event inside, with normal ground.
“Now time for a few hours sleep until the action continues with powerlifting, strongman fitness, IronMind Grip Classic and the final 6 events of our World Championships.”
