MILO®: A Journal for Serious Strength Athletes

Strongman · Grip · Olympic-style Weightlifting · Stonelifting · Highland Games

March 2013, Vol. 20, No. 4:  After getting off to a poor start on the first event of the finals (the Yoke Race), Zydrunas Savickas needed to bounce back with the sort of strong performance that would signal his readiness to walk away with his third World's Strongest Man contest.  Usually placid and Buddha-like in appearance, Savickas showed some teeth on the Log Lift, where he capped off his first-place finish with a world record 220-kg log.  Randall J. In MILO 20.4:

Francis Brebner takes on the controversy surrounding the preservation of the Dinnie Stones while Jim Schmitz explores the relationship between weightlifting and CrossFit. Jon Bruney "Crush[es] It", Dr. Ken takes us into the heart of Superstorm Sandy, Roger Davis continues his stone hunting in Scotland, and Colin Bryce provides an in-depth analysis of the 2012 World's Strongest Man, among other must-read articles.
