by Randall J. Strossen, Ph.D. | ©2010 IronMind

Last night, Sacramento High graduate Donovan Ford rewrote the Pacific Weightlifting Association (PWA) record book at the PWA Championships, held at his alma mater.

Sacramento High graduate Donovan Ford broke all the 105-kg category Junior Men's PWA records last night. Here, Ford flies under the bar on his 175-kg clean and jerk. Randall J. Strossen photo.

Ford ended the evening with a 134-kg snatch, 175-kg clean and jerk, and a 309-kg total, all of which were new PWA Men's Junior records. The former records had been set by Donovan Ford in January, so this young weightlifter is on a roll.
