A Part of the Whole

“I am a part of all that I have seen.”—Alfred Lord Tennyson

I acted on instinct, never giving much thought to the dozens of old Strength & Health magazines I colledted that featured all the York Barbell Club stalwards of yore; I'm eternally grateful for the times I've attended the AOBS dinners and spent hours on end with former Olympians and Coney Island strongmen, iron madmen, and sages.  This all seemed like so much more than the accruing of neat memories of an avid fan.  How fitting that Tennyson's words have given form to the process and principles that, by God's grace, have helped form me.
