The Whole Story
“If you join at eleven o’clock a conversation that began at eight you will often not see the real bearing of what is said.”—C. S. Lewis
I recall recently hearing of a powerlifter whose bench press attempt was red-lighted after the bar hit his belt. I remember scratching my head and pondering, “How in the world does the bar get anywhere near one’s belt while performing a bench press?” The answer, of course, is IT DOESN’T! Oh, for the days when we all spoke the same language!
Editor's Note: Steve Jeck’s books, Of Stones and Strength and The Stone Lifter; and videos, Kviahellan DVD, Jeck on Stonelifting video, and Classic Jeck: The First Works CD, define the world of stonelifting.
